Easter Eggs

Easter weekend falls on the 17th to 18th of April this year (2021), with Good Friday being the 15th and Easter Monday being the 25th of April.

So with these time frames fresh in mind, and the recent additional hour “light” from our clocks moving forward in Great Britain, I’m sure we’re all getting set for an imminent break away from the doom and gloom start of the year for many, even just weather wise.

With chocolate eggs gracing shop shelves in greater volumes than fields of daffodils, this time of year is extra sweet in many ways. With four days off work and school for many, a weekend getaway is another sweetening consideration. Just to throw some ideas in the mix, consider city breaks to lovely destinations such as Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Prague or even New York, not forgetting UK city and country breaks as well.

Personally I’m booked up for Easter weekend to visit Amsterdam, my first visit and first holiday abroad in over 2 years, and I’m counting down the days. It’s almost like an earlybird advent-related calendar as it involves a countdown of approximately 25 days from the writing of this blog post, and lots of chocolate at the end, but in a beautiful city such as Amsterdam.

I must admit I have missed the chance to give up chocolate for the whole lent period despite my good intentions, being roughly half way through the lent period which officially occurs 46 days before Easter. Some of us may follow the lent principles and be giving something up, whatever your beliefs or intentions, I highly recommend you consider a break away if you can. Despite many pre-conceptions, there are many good holiday deals still available.

What better way to get away than to use the largest independently-owned UK Travel Agent, Hays Travel. With many Easter 2011 Holiday Late Deals. Hays Travel have experienced, friendly staff and access to dozens of tour operators, accommodation suppliers and airlines, they can run a comprehensive search to find you a great deal. Hays recently celebrated their 30th anniversary and they’re members of ABTA and ATOL holders, so you can rest assured that your holidays are financial safe with Hays.

So whether you be an earlybird or even a latebird you catch the worm, if for all intensive purposes the worm is a bargain Easter holiday deal. You could always consider moving forward your holiday plans, and be back in good time to catch the Royal Wedding, unless you would prefer to getaway that weekend as well.
